The Common Agricultural Policy has again been branded an unfair system that leads to greater inequalities in Europe.
Three academics have backed Tony Blair's call for reform of the pounds 60bn-a-year system. In June the Prime Minister said the CAP should be scrapped as part of a complete overhaul of EU finances, cutting the 40% of the EU budget currently devoted to farm support in exchange for renegotiating Britain's pounds 3.2bn-a-year rebate.See the full content of this document
