A UNION official at an under-threat aircraft manufacturer in Wales has urged colleagues on the continent to avoid damaging wildcat strikes.

Robert Dowie, the Amicus works convener at Airbus Broughton, Flintshire, said industrial disputes in France could delay deliveries of aircraft that are already behind schedule. But while urging his fellow French workers to show restraint Mr Dowie also suggested management must accept their share of the blame for the industrial unrest.
