What did it feel like to be nominated?

It was great. I was quite young at the time and I had to spend four months in the Middle East covering the Iraq War which was a big thing as it was so early on in my career. It was really nice to get some recognition for all my hard work.

How did you feel when you won?

When you're at the do, the atmosphere gets quite intense - you go from feeling flattered...
