SIR - As Wales basks in Mediterranean temperatures and ice cream sales go through the roof, perhaps we should take stock and spare a thought for those facing the not-so-pleasant effects of global warming ('Tropical air brings heat wave to Wales', Western Mail, Tuesday, April 10).
It's all too easy to take the approach of Rhodri Morgan and look forward to the benefits for Welsh growers and the tourist industry, while turning a blind eye to the inundation facing Bangladesh and countless islands in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. The Labour Party's complacency is blatantly apparent in its manifesto for the Welsh Assembly election, in which no new funding has been announced for measures to cut carbon emissions.See the full content of this document
