Ban the School Run, Say 69%

Summary


More than two-thirds (69%) of people are in favour of banning the school run, according to a Which? survey out today. Parents taking their children to school account for about 20% of term-time traffic congestion and overcrowded roads, making other motorists late for work, school or appointments on average around five times in a typical term-time month.

Four out of five drivers plan their journeys to avoid congestion and a similar proportion leave earlier or later than they should to avoid jams.
