Farmers are being urged to talk to their banks now if they feel that the delay in receiving their first payment under the EU Single Payment Scheme will present cash flow problems. Lloyds TSB agriculture director Tim Porter said many farmers were concerned at the change from regular subsidy cheques to a single payment.
