WELSH teenage sensation Amy Boulden defied the wind and rain at Tenby yesterday to clinch the runners-up spot in the British Ladies Open Amateur Strokeplay championship.

Thunderstorms in the morning caused a suspension of play for two and a half hours and forced LGU officials to reduce the tournament to a 54-hole affair.
