Summary
SIR - There is now much debate in the Welsh Assembly about the Labour Assembly Government's policy of trying to provide free breakfasts for primary school children. It was an election promise by Labour, but not all schools will choose to take it up.
Opposition politicians seem to be bitterly opposed to the idea. I can respect the Tory position that families should give their children breakfast each morning. I can appreciate the Liberal Democrats' argument that the money should go to schools and they should decide for themselves how the money is spent. I don't agree with either of them but at least they have principled criticisms of the policy.See the full content of this document
