Summary
Women who have suffered pre-eclampsia during pregnancy have an increased risk of cancer. Researchers in Israel traced more than 37,000 women who gave birth between 1964 and 1976, with 1,070 of them suffering from the potentially life-threatening condition pre- eclampsia.
The team, from the Hadassah-Hebrew University in Jerusalem, found a higher percentage of cancer among those with pre-eclampsia, especially cancers of the breast, stomach, ovary, lung and larynx.See the full content of this document
