A CARE home at the centre of neglect claims suffered a recruitment crisis and operated with the legal minimum of staff, a court heard yesterday.

Newport Crown Court was told care assistants at Bryngwyn nursing home in Newbridge, Caerphilly, were sometimes unqualified or had no previous experience of working in the sector.
