Summary
SIR - At a time when we are celebrating the successes of learners obtaining better than ever passes at A-level and GCSE, it is important that we do not forget that learning is much wider than just academic qualifications.
That is why I want to support the article by Sheila Drury, the chair of ELWa, that you published in the Education Wales supplement. Mrs Drury makes the point very well that we should also celebrate the success of those young people (and indeed older people) that achieve success in vocational fields. Qualifications like NVQs, Modern Apprenticeships and a range of other vocational awards are just as important and relevant as A-levels and GCSEs.See the full content of this document
