Men infected with the sexually transmitted disease chlamydia are at a greater risk of suffering from fertility problems, research reveals today. Infection with this 'silent' sexual disease in women has been known to be linked with infertility in women for some time.

But the latest research in Sweden found that men with chlamydia also helped reduce the chances of their partner becoming pregnant by a third.
