THE climate change "Doubting Thomases" are probably now "double doubting" about the "world warming" warnings after the arctic winter which doesn't seem to want to end.

Many anglers have suffered a sharp decline in their winter fishing while some have discovered once again that it is often too cold to fish but not too cold to catch fish. Those who ventured forth had to cut the ice and fish through the holes where many succeeded in catching fish Eskimo-style. The biggest snag, or so I was told by one angler who braved the frosty conditions, was having to constantly clear the ice forming in the rod rings.
