SIR - Today's published letter from Dr Gerry Wolff (Letters, September 23) demonstrates the continued misinformation perpetuated under the banner of "alternative energy".
Solar power requires the sun, which we get little of in Wales and certainly none of during the night - how does Dr Wolff propose that we power our TV sets for X Factor on a winters' evening? Fabrication of solar cells and their installation is also prohibitively expensive (without grants) and the energy conversion is inefficient.See the full content of this document
