SIR - Speaking at the fifth annual RenewableUK Cymru conference last Thursday, First Minister Carwyn Jones stated his determination to seek responsibility for renewable energy consents up to 100 megawatt on both sea and land, "generating up to twice as much renewable electricity in Wales as we are today" by 2025. On his head be it.

The line in his speech that rings in my ears is: "The trick we need to pull off is to exploit actions needed to combat climate change in order to ensure a prosperous future". Trick, Exploit and Prosper are the key words.
