SIR - Events this week should finally put paid to the recent politically-motivated scare stories regarding Wales' handling of EU cash ('EC could obstruct pounds 1.3bn Welsh Development Grant', September 20).
The European Commission's decision to allow Wales to audit its own European accounts is clear proof of the Commission's confidence in Wales' use of EU regional funding.
