Summary
Wales is again taking a leading role in the struggle to prevent genetically modified crops from polluting modern agriculture. Countryside Minister Carwyn Jones signed a Charter with partners in the Network of European Regions on Genetically Modified Organisms during a special meeting in Florence last week.
The charter presses the European Commission to recognise the growing concerns of an increasing number of European regions about the threats to conventional and organic farming from the commercialisation of GM crops.See the full content of this document
