Summary
Wrexham midfielder Mark Jones will visit a specialist tomorrow and they will decide whether his chance of winning a first full Wales cap have been ruined by a knee injury. The 21-year-old suffered possible cartilage damage last weekend in the Dragons' 1-1 draw with Oxford, and the initial diagnosis was that his season was over and he would not be able to figure in Wales' friendlies this month against the Basques in Bilbao and Trinidad and Tobago in Austria. He has been in John Toshack's squads in the past, but has yet to be capped, though there is no doubt he would have played in one or both of the internationals on May 20 and 27 respectively. He has also been named in the U21 squad to play Estonia in a vital two- legged Uefa Championship qualifier on May 10 and 24.
Wrexham boss Denis Smith revealed today the swelling on Jones' knee had decreased, but that a specialist will decide the next course of action.See the full content of this document
