A bank has launched an investigation after a packet of cheques worth almost pounds 100,000 was dumped in the street. They were spotted by a teenager outside a branch of the Abbey in Whitley Bay, Tyneside, hundreds of miles from the London clearing centre where they were heading to be processed.
