A breakthrough in encryption technology has been staged by a team inside the EADS Defence & Security Systems operation in Newport. The Ectocryp system - devised by fewer than 30 people working over the past 2 years - will allow Government ministers and military commanders to have real-time conversations with officers in war- zones with complete confidence their conversations will not be overhead.
Its makers believe it offers radical improvements on previous systems and offers efficiency savings worth 'hundreds of millions' of pounds.See the full content of this document
