Summary
THE collection of a diplomat, who died in 2008, will be sold at the end of the month in Brightwell's Leominster showrooms. Ian Smart was a diplomat, analyst and scholar on nuclear energy issues who also made a hobby of acquiring collectables. "I've never thought of myself as a collector of antiques," Smart often said, "I'm more a researcher really but a researcher who likes to possess the things I feel to be beautiful."
Many items from the Smart collection will be sold on March 31 at Brightwells in Leominster, the town where Smart and his wife Janet spent their retirement years.See the full content of this document
