FINANCE WALES would be forced to waste millions of pounds on unnecessary bureaucracy if a draft European Directive goes ahead in its current form, according to Welsh Conservative MEP Kay Swinburne.

As things stand, the Assembly Government's investment arm is covered by the proposal to increase the regulation of hedge funds and venture capital.
