I 'm passionately in favour of organ donation but I have grave doubts about an opt-out programme of organ donation.
AUK-wide government task force is dueto report in the next few months and the Prime Minister is said to be in favour of presumed consent. This would give doctors the right to recover organs from any deceased person who had not signified their refusal in life.Apoll of adults across the UK for the BBCshows two thirdsof the public now support the idea but I wonder how deeply thought through their responses were.
