At a time when uncertainty exists regarding the healthcare services that are to be provided in local areas of Wales, it is a worrying picture that GP services are underfunded, inaccessible and, more worryingly, understaffed.

The failure to attract new GPs to many areas of Wales, especially those that are most heavily burdened by chronic illness and major health issues, will only plunge the nation into a further state of poor health.
