Summary
A collection of drawings and postcards, including one by Neil Kinnock, were auctioned at Bonhams in London to raise money for an English countryside charity. A total of pounds 4,868 was raised at the Knightsbridge auction, including pounds 36 raised by a drawing of a Welsh sunrise by the former leader of the Labour Party, Lord Kinnock.
Other celebrities and public figures who demonstrated their artistic talent help the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) included the Archbishop of York, who donated a painting of a rural landscape, and Tony Benn , who donated a drawing of holly berries that he created in 1932 when he was seven years old.See the full content of this document
