A BRITISH couple who failed to turn up at a Portuguese court, after allegedly getting so drunk they passed out while in charge of their three young children, are back in the UK, the Foreign Office said last night.

Bank of Ireland manager Eamon Mc Guckin, 34, and his wife Antoinette, 32, from Maghera, Northern Ireland, were due to attend a hearing at the Family and Minors Court in Faro yesterday afternoon but failed to appear.
