ENGLISH golf is to go down the same route as Wales after the merger of the English Golf Union and the English Women's Golf Association was approved at simultaneous general meetings of both organisations this week.
The merger will come into effect on January 1 and will create England Golf, one national governing body to represent all amateur players. The proposal, which needed a 75% majority amongst voting members, was approved by 86% of the EGU and 100% of the EWGA.See the full content of this document
