CAR owners will face extra checks during their MoT tests from next year.
To meet European requirements and reflect advances in technology, from January 1 British tests will include additional checks for some already-tested systems including brakes, steering, suspension and lights. There will also be new safety checks on the increasing number of on-board electrical safety systems, including electronic stability control.See the full content of this document
