HUMAN rights judges have halted the extradition proceedings of four men held in jail in Britain and wanted in America on terrorist charges.

Last night Home Secretary Theresa May said the four, including radical preacher Abu Hamza, would remain in custody until the European Court of Human Rights has ruled on their claims that transferring them to the US risked breaching their rights by exposing them to possible life imprisonment without parole and solitary confinement.
