Friday, June 30 - Continuing our journey south we made our way to the centre of the north island of New Zealand and our first visit to a beef and sheep farm.

The farm, Pentwyn, which is owned by Mr and Mrs Robin Collier and their son Ross, is 20km north of Taihape and we came to it from the famous Desert Road well known in NZ for its natural vegetation of scrub and heathland. As its name Pentwyn suggests, it has a strong Welsh connection.
