WORCESTER-BASED Oliver Farr hit back emphatically after the Duncan Putter with a clean sweep of trophies at the Trubshaw Cup to boost his Walker Cup selection.

Ludlow Golf Club's Farr, son of former Welsh PGA pro Graham, scored rounds of 69 and 66 to win the Carmarthenshire Open at Ashburnham and rounds of 69 and 66 at Tenby to win the Tenby Golden Eagle. Farr, whose father also caddied for PGA Tour star KJ Choi in the States, saw his 14 under par total lift the Trubshaw Cup for the second year running and he collects 150 Pinnacle Order of Merit points into the bargain.
