Summary
A woodland charity is today calling for action to save Wales' ancient trees. The appeal by Coed Cadw (The Woodland Trust) and the Ancient Tree Forum (ATF), follows in the wake of a threat to a 200- year-old churchyard ash tree in Mid Wales.
According to the charities, Scottish Power originally planned to fell the tree, at Leighton, near Welshpool, because it was growing too close to power lines.See the full content of this document
