Summary
School funding will come under closer scrutiny by the Welsh Assembly Government in future, Education Minister Jane Davidson will announce today. The move comes after a damning report by a committee of AMs which said that the system of school funding is not transparent, objective or fair and is based on historic patterns of spending rather than their needs today and in the future.
