The deep mud hole on a dog-leg corner had been churned up by a score of hefty Defenders. You couldn't even walk out of it with spiked boots, but it beckons like a glutinous brown hell waiting to devour your confidence and gurgle with self-satisfied laughter at your pathetic everyday driving skills.
