Summary
What brought you to jewellery? I went to Sir John Cass School of Art in London from 1978-1982, to study jewellery and silver smithing. I sold my first collection to a famous New York store in my final year and went on from there. I've designed collections for Jean Muir and Joseph Azagury shoes. My most exciting recent commission was to design the jewellery for Kim Tashara's wedding to James Hook. I used pieces moulded from 17th century buttons mixed with modern pieces of filigree all sparkled up with Swarovski crystal.
What conditions do you need to work? I tend to work in total chaos but somehow the pieces emerge reflecting a calm beauty. I have a lifetime of bits and pieces collected from travels to India and junk shops all around me and of course photos of my daughter Rosie.
