'Glass Needle' Plans Changed to Include a 105-Room Station Hotel

A landmark city-centre development has been resubmitted to Cardiff's planners after the developers behind the project incorporated a hotel into the design. Building work on the so- called glass needle apartment development in the heart of the Welsh capital has been held up because a fibre optic cable was discovered.

At the time the cable was found, in December last year, the developer behind the scheme, Urban Solutions, said it was targeting a start date of April or May 2007.
