A guide to help people stay out of court and avoid being prosecuted for cutting down trees without permission was launched yesterday by Forestry Commission Wales. The leaflet sets out how the law protects trees and explains when people need to apply for a licence before felling trees. Its publication follows an increase in illegal felling and prosecutions.
