THERE was major disappointment for Great Britain at the World Championships as Fran Halsall fell short of winning a medal in the 100m freestyle in Shanghai.

Michael Jamieson and Andrew Willis were fifth and eighth in the 200m breaststroke final while the men's 4x200m relay came in sixth.
