A girl who suffered horrific head injuries in a hammer attack that killed her mother and sister has celebrated passing eight GCSEs. Josie Russell was attacked by Michael Stone while walking with her six-year-old sister Megan and mother Lin in Kent in 1996. She tried to run away but Stone chased her and struck her from behind with the hammer.
