SHOULD you look up at the wild Welsh skies now you have a greater chance of spotting the Welsh hen harrier gliding by.

With a distinct shallow "V" style of flying, you may spot the bird gliding low over the open country of the uplands of North and Mid Wales. The males can be recognised by their pale grey colour, whereas the females are brown with a white rump and a long, barred tail.
