Summary
I WAS saddened to hear of the death of Aeronwy Thomas, daughter of Dylan and poet in her own right. I met this intriguing woman in New York last year on a trial run of a Dylan Thomas walking tour tracing the city haunts her father would have known.
In Aeronwy we had the ultimate authority. Like most tourists, we were familiar with the clichs of 18 straight whiskies and riotous nights at the Chelsea Hotel. But the aim of this journey through Dylan's New York was to see beneath the stereotype. And Aeronwy certainly helped us do that.
