The third 'wife' of a bigamist hit out at his 'disgusting' sentence yesterday after the man she had once believed was her husband was spared jail. Chef Michael Whatmough, 56, was ordered to serve 180 hours of unpaid work at Ipswich Crown Court, after admitting one count of bigamy.

Whatmough, who lives in Treboeth, near Swansea, married his third wife, Carolyn Moore, in Felixstowe, Suffolk, in May 2001.
