Summary
Small businesses and their staff need to have access to the right training at the right price at the right time. Firms want to be able to recruit from a pool of well-trained, well-motivated individuals who are literate, numerate, able to communicate, to self-instruct and to work as part of a team. Evidence of these qualities and the training itself should be clear, unambiguous and credible in its content and standard.
All training courses must be demand-driven, flexible, modular and portable. If 'lifelong learning' is to mean anything, people must be able to transfer from one college to another and continue with their training programme, building up their own skills portfolio.See the full content of this document
