Summary
SIR - I was saddened and angered on hearing that sixth-form education has been condemned and binned in the Borough of Merthyr Tydfil ("Battle lines drawn as schools vow to fight for sixth forms", July 1).
As someone who has benefited immensely from a sixth-form education I plead with the council to reconsider their decision. As a sixth-former I received regular pastoral guidance and advice, as well as close monitoring on my progress as and when required from teachers and senior teachers.See the full content of this document
