Conservationists say Wales can wave goodbye to its classic landscapes after the Welsh Assembly signalled a new wave of wind farms. The National Assembly, in its energy strategy, says that by 2010 around 10% of Wales' electricity should come from renewable sources.

Ministers want much of the energy to come from wind meaning hundreds more giant turbines could be springing up throughout Wales and along its coastlines.
