SIR - I was astonished to read your correspondent from Llanyravon's (WM August 18) view that it is a form of 'racism' to be excluded from events at our National Eisteddfod because of her language problem.
She describes herself as a Welsh lady, born and bred in Wales, who does not speak Welsh. Surely, it would not be beyond her capability to learn the native language of her country, of which she is so fiercely proud. Far better to spend her time that way than by attacking our Eisteddfod for its all-Welsh rule. She would command admiration and respect by contributing to the hallmark of Welshness - the Welsh language - which has remarkably survived centuries of persecution and denigration.See the full content of this document
