SIR - I heard recently that the Government intended to have 27 days off for the Christmas holiday and that Parliament would possibly only be sitting for 128 days during the next session.
If that is the case, then I would suggest that members of the House of Commons should only be paid attendance money like the House of Lords. They may then be tempted to attend more often!See the full content of this document
