Sir - It is disappointing that "Friends" of the Earth and the Countryside Council for Wales are to object to the proposed Severn Barrage.
They argue that it will destroy a number of natural habitats. In the news over the past 24 hours it's been reported that a 10-mile long chunk of the Arctic ice field has broken away as the melting of the polar ice cap speeds up and closer to home the rare black grouse could be extinct in the next 20 years both due to global warming.See the full content of this document
