SIR - Members of Carmarthenshire Older People's Partnership (Copp) have reported that, although hospital car parking charges have supposedly been scrapped, those of Carmarthenshire, eg Glangwili & Prince Philip Hospitals, have been retained, seemingly because a long-term contract was negotiated and signed by the chief executive when car parking charges were introduced.

Perhaps this is a case for someone to admit their mistake, take their medicine and make restitution to those who find themselves in the unenviable position of having to pay out many pounds in parking fees they can ill afford, each time they visit the hospital, often on a daily basis as outpatients or to check on family members.
