Summary
Sir - i read with concern the article on January 10 about expansion of UK nuclear power stations and Chernobyl. The article claimed that the World Health Organisation said up to 4,000 may have died of cancer relating to the Chernobyl disaster.
On the internet, I read that the WHO article, dated September 2005, stated a total of up to 4,000 people could eventually die of radiation exposure and as of mid-2005 fewer than 50 deaths had been directly attributed to radiation from the disaster.See the full content of this document
